Ex-Hacienda La Petaca was built in 1760 and resides on the banks of the River Laja just 15 minutes outside of San Miguel de Allende. This Spanish Colonial residence and hotel combines the beautiful natural countryside and the charm of the Hacienda ideal for rest and relaxation. Our private Church is ideal for the most memorable weddings, baptisms, or celebrations.

We believe environmental enrichment must include the participation and enrichment of its human counterparts. Education is key to the fulfillment of our project.

Sergio Huerta has recently moved his beautiful workshop to Ex Hacienda La Petaca and is now working on a handful of wonderful projects ranging from Haranas to Romantic Guitars
He offers courses in the construction of guitars as well as repairs, and custom orders.
